Statement

Mi trabajo se centra en la fotografía, el video de creación y la composición sonora. Abordo los procesos relacionados con el tránsito, la experiencia del viaje, el desplazamiento y el arraigo como forma de reflexión sobre el territorio, el instante y la memoria.

Me interesan los límites de la temporalidad, la relación entre una imagen y la siguiente, ese espacio intermedio que implica tener en cuenta lo que no se ve, el fuera de campo, el intervalo entre las cosas. Y la tensión que se establece entre la imagen fija y la imagen en movimiento. El momento aparentemente detenido, la sucesión y alteración de procesos que acontecen a distintas velocidades. La repetición y el cambio. Distinguir el tiempo a través de los espacios creados entre esas alteraciones.

My work focuses on photography, video-creation and composition sound, approaching to the processes related to transit, the travel experience, displacement and rootedness as a form of reflection on territory, time and memory.

I’m interested in the limits of temporality, the relationship between an image and the next, this intermediate space which means taking into consideration what is not seen, the outside of the field, the interval between things. And the tension established between the still and the moving image. The time apparently stopped, succession and alteration processes that occur at different speeds. Repetition and change. Distinguish time through the spaces created between these alterations.
